Terms & Conditions of Donations
Pride in Southwark is an unincorporated not for profit community group committed to celebrating, supporting, and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community in Southwark and beyond. We rely on donations from individuals and grants to help fund our activities and events. We don't accept any corporate sponsorships.
By making a donation to Pride in Southwark, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Use of Donations
All donations made to Pride in Southwark are used exclusively to support the group’s activities, events, and community engagement efforts. These may include Pride events, outreach work, campaigning, accessibility initiatives, and other related activities in line with our aims.
2. Transparency and Financial Accountability
Annual accounts of Pride in Southwark are produced to provide transparency and accountability. Copies of these accounts can be requested by writing to us at:

3. Discretion to Decline or Return Donations
Pride in Southwark reserves the right to decline or return any donation at the sole discretion of its working group. This includes, but is not limited to, situations where there is any concern about the source of funds or where a donation may contravene our ethical values and organisational practices.
4. Legal Status and Tax
Pride in Southwark is not a registered charity and does not hold charitable status. We are an unincorporated community group. Donations made to the group do not qualify for Gift Aid or other tax reliefs often associated with charitable giving. Donors should seek independent legal or financial advice if they are uncertain about the tax or legal implications of making a donation. All donations are held in a designated bank account, with oversight from members of the working group. Funds are distributed in accordance with the aims of Pride in Southwark as a not for profit community group.
5. Refunds
Donations are non-refundable unless returned at the discretion of Pride in Southwark’s working party under the conditions outlined in section 3.
6. Receipts / Confirmation of Donations
All Donors will receive a copy of a receipt of their donation following a successful payment, or following the successful setting up of their recurring donation. If you require a printed receipt, or a copy of the emailed receipt, please email: hello@prideinsouthwark.org
7. Recurring Donations
If you choose to make a recurring donation, these will be taken in the intervals described on the check-out pages. If you wish to cancel these at any time, follow the instructions in your confirmation email, or write to hello@prideinsouthwark.org.
8. Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
